One-Day Course : "Records of Death"
Organised by Heritage Family History
4th October

At Canterbury Christ Church University, Medway Campus, Rowan Williams Court, Pembroke Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4UF. (Please note the location is Chatham not Canterbury!)

It is perhaps an irony that the records created or activated by death, tell us more about our ancestor than many of the records created during their lifetime. They often provide new information which leads us to see our ancestors in a totally different light. Yet these records, despite being relatively easy to access, are often neglected by researchers.

This one-day course will show students some of the various records they can use, how to locate them and interpret them and also how to use them as springboards for further research. We will also look at the possible repercussions of death and how to find out more about what happened to those left behind. The cost for the course is £25.
